:: Yarn Along ::

Joining Ginny, over at small things, again with yarn along. A single photo of a current knitting or crocheting project with a current read. I am really loving these posts, taking a moment to think about what and why I'm knitting or reading. I read...a lot. And I knit...not as much as I'd like but I do have 2-4 projects going either on the needles or in my brain.

I do love seeing what others are knitting and can always use some reading suggestions! Leave a comment so I can see what you're up to. And go over to Ginny's to see what others are up to.

On the needles :: Mr. Wiedz's sweater of course. I was thinking I wasn't getting very far, I'm only able to do about 2 rows an evening, but when I looked at last week's yarn along I noticed a difference! It's growing! I can pick out some mistakes now that I see the pattern emerging. They are mistakes that drive me crazy every time I come around to them again but I can completely forget about when I'm not looking at it so I'm ok!

Having #2's sweater to work on when I just need something easy has been perfect. I'm almost done with the first sleeve. He's so excited as he's seen it get bigger and bigger, can't wait for him to watch the sweater come together!

On the nightstand :: Still not really in a reading mood though we do have a library trip planned for this week so maybe something will jump into my basket. I have been busy planning school. A friend and I are going to do science together with Apologia's Exploring Creation with Anatomy. We'll do the lessons over a couple weeks then meet at each other's houses to try out some of the experiments and talk about what we learned. The kids and I are really excited about it. I've also started plugging lessons into the calendar and figuring out breaks. With the history planned out I can start figuring out which FIAR books will go along for #3. I love this part of school!

My boys and I finished that book ~ really enjoyed it a lot. Even I learned sooo many good things. We're taking a slower read through the Botany book.

BTW - those lilacs in your header are absolutely stunning.

Little by little it's coming along! I think it's smart to do at least a couple of rows an evening. My hubby wants a sweater and I am rather nervous about the endeavour.

I would hazard a guess that Mr. Wiedz is not really going to notice any 'design elements' in his sweater.

I see progress on the sweater! It looks like such a nice comfortable project to work on.

The sweaters are coming along nicely. I don't think I have it in me to knit a sweater for Greg. Jacinta

The sweaters are coming along. I notice a change from last week. I have been doing lots of little projects, but have a sweater up next!

We have used a bunch of the Apologia Exploring Creation series. Have fun! It will be great to do with another family.

Blessings, Elizabeth

yeah, sweaters for grown men grow very, very slowly :( at least you have a second, smaller sweater to work on as well!

I need to start keeping a list of books I want to check out and read and Exploring Creation with Anatomy is definitely one of these books. Coming over here from Yarn Along.
