Moments to Remember - Disliking English Together

Joining Jolanthe, and many others, remembering a moment this week.
Holding it close and keeping track of it.

My parents came to town for my dad to attend the PAC12 Championship game with Mr. Wiedz. My dad gave me a hard time during the morning that there didn't seem to be a lot of school going on...so he joined #1 and I for English. He didn't like English as a kid, only makes sure people use the correct form of can and may now, and had always thought if he had to do it over again he'd apply himself more to English. He decided after spending nearly an hour trying to find the predicate adjectives, predicate nouns, direct objects and diagraming sentences that he was right all along. #1 agrees with him. It was an entertaining moment. I think they both learned a lot.

Sometimes it takes someone who's not great at a subject to find just the right way to explain it to someone else who has trouble with it!
